Itinerary

Day 1: Lucerne

  • Arrival at Zurich Airport, take a direct train to the city of lights- Lucerne. Explore this lovely city’s famous landmarks like the Chapel Bridge, Lion Monuments etc. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 2: Lucerne – Mt. Pilatus – Interlaken

  • Check out from the hotel and keep your luggage in the hotel. Follow the spectacular ride with the world‘s steepest cogwheel railway to Pilatus Kulm 2132 m / 7000 ft. Riding down with the aerial cableway ‘Dragon Ride’ and the panorama gondolas to Kriens, where you take bus Nr 1 back to Lucerne. The Golden Round Trip can also be done the other way around. Later, take the train to Interlaken and overnight.

Day 3: Interlaken – Jungfraujoch

  • Excursion from Interlaken to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe at an altitude of 3454 m/11’333 ft. One can travel to the top either by traditional way of Cogwheel train or by the Cable Car and save time. From Grindelwald Terminal to the Jungfraujoch in just 45 minutes! Take the new Eiger Express tricable gondola from Grindelwald Terminal to the Eiger Glacier and from there continue to Europe’s highest railway station on the Jungfrau Railway. Visitors have access to a high-Alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock, which they can admire from the viewing platforms on the Aletsch Glacier or in the Ice Palace. Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 4: Interlaken – Zermatt – Gornergrat

  • Check out and take the train to Zermatt. Check-in. At an altitude of 3,089m, Gornergrat has been Switzerland’s top excursion destination since 1898. Board the cogwheel railway up to the Gornergrat, with views of the majestic Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and other spectacular summits. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 5: Zermatt – Aletsch Arena

  • Day trip to the Aletsch Arena region. The family-friendly and car-free Aletsch Arena is one of the secret tips in Switzerland. Located between Interlaken and Zermatt with over forty 4000 m peaks around it, the destination offers one of the best views in Switzerland to the Jungfrau, Matterhorn and Mont Blanc (France). The Aletsch Arena is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and home of the 23km long Aletsch Glacier, the largest glacier of the Alps. True to their slogan “feel free”, the Aletsch Arena is the ideal place to escape the hectic daily routine as it has been voted number one in rest and relaxation within Central Europe. Enjoy action-driven activities like mountain carts, scooters and the interactive museum “glacier world”. Spend 3 – 4 hours in the lap of nature and then return back to Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 6: Zermatt – Glacier Express – St. Moritz

  • Check out from the hotel and board the Glacier Express train which is one of the greatest train journeys in the world. You travel from Zermatt to St. Moritz, take an 8 hrs railway journey across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass at 2033 meters in altitude. Travel in comfort through the unspoilt natural beauty of a landscape. Option of gifting yourself a luxury and lavishing journey by opting for Excellence Class (in 1st class only with a supplement of CHF 420pp). Overnight in St. Moritz.

Day 7: St. Moritz – Zurich – Lindt Chocolate Museum

  • Check out and take the train to Zurich and visit Lindt – Home of Chocolate. The modern, light-flooded museum building offers 20000m2 of chocolate fascination with a chocolate fountain, multimedia exhibition, café, workshops and the largest Lindt Chocolate Shop. A perfect destination for all chocolate lovers from home and abroad. Explore its Museum with interactive Chocolate Tour & Show Production facilities. Overnight in Zurich.

Day 8: End of Tour

  • Return to any Swiss border or Swiss airport or continue your stay in Switzerland on your own.
